HOW IT WORKS (per billing cycle):
Each line (smartphone, tablet, etc) has unlimited data. The first 22GB of LTE data is given HIGH priority. If any single device goes over 22GB of data, that single device will be given reduced priority LTE data on cell towers when the cell tower is full; however if the tower is not fully utilized, the device will not have any impact on priority apparent. Any one line does not effect data speeds or access of other lines on the account as the 22GB priority is set on a PER LINE basis.
For devices set in HOT SPOT mode, there is a 10GB LTE allowance for the hot spot per billing cycle, then 3G speeds.

Is this really unlimited data?
In short, YES.
Your access to data will only be impacted if the phone line (smartphone, tablet, etc) exceeds 22GB and is connected to a tower that is congested with other traffic. It will not be blocked from data, but will be prioritized behind other VZW customers who have used less data. Once the tower has reduced congestion, or once the device is connected to a different tower, full uninhibited LTE data access will resume.
What if I am under contract or am in the middle of a Device Payment Plan?
If you are past the 1-year mark on a 2-year contract or paid at least half on your Device Payment Plan, you are eligible to get promotional trade-in value on your qualified phone toward a new Device Payment Plan.
What if I am under contract with another carrier?
VZW can still take a trade-in device toward a new Device Payment Plan, but you will be responsible for any early cancellation fees that may occur. The SwitchUp promotions are not available for Unlimited plans.
What is required for a trade-in device?
The device has to be a qualified device (see above), have no signs of physical damage, no water damage, and be able to power on.
